Our curriculum is rooted in the ancient wisdom of yoga, combining rigorous training in asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), meditation, and yogic philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology.
Curriculum
History
Explore the history of yoga, tracing its origins back thousands of years. Understand the significance of key historical texts like the Vedas, Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, and their influence on modern yoga.
Philosophy
Dive into the philosophical underpinnings of yoga, including the study of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita. Learn how these ancient teachings guide not just the practice of yoga but also the way we live our lives, fostering inner peace, awareness and spiritual growth.
Postures
Master the art of yoga postures with a focus on proper alignment, balance, and safety. Our training covers a wide range of asanas, from foundational poses to advanced postures, ensuring that you develop both strength and flexibility. You will also learn how to teach these postures effectively to students of all levels.
Mantra
Mantra meditation is a powerful tool for focusing the mind and awakening spiritual awareness. In this module, you will explore the significance of sound in yoga, learn various mantras, and practice chanting techniques that enhance meditation and deepen your connection to the inner self.
Anatomy
Gain a thorough understanding of human anatomy as it relates to yoga practice. This includes the study of muscles, bones, joints, and connective tissues, as well as how these systems interact during yoga postures. You’ll also learn about injury prevention and how to modify postures to accommodate different body types and limitations.
Pranayama
Pranayama, the control of breath, is a cornerstone of yoga practice. You will learn various pranayama techniques, understanding their effects on the body and mind. This module covers breath control methods for increasing energy, calming the mind, and preparing for meditation, as well as how to safely teach these techniques to others.
Located in the serene and spiritually rich environment of Goa, India. Our training offers an immersive experience where you can fully connect with the essence of yoga. Upon completion, you will be certified as a RYT-yoga teacher by Yoga Alliance. Accommodations and food are not included, transportation from airport can be arranged.
